Woodcocks Farm is conveniently situated within easy reach of
local beauty spots and wonderfully fun-packed days out. Set within the Vale of
Leadon, the area has much to offer as part of the Royal Forest of Dean.

The local attractions start as near as a few 100 yards from Woodcocks in
Kempley village, where there are 2 historic churches in the village within
easy walking distance from the farm, with St Edwards hosting arts and
crafts, |
and St Mary's providing a
framework for most wonderful tapestries.

In
continuing with the theme of flora and fauna, the Tree Counties Showground
in Malvern hosts the
Spring
Gardening Show in May, where Alan Titchmarsh will demonstrate his
expertise - a must for all gardening enthusiasts.

The woodland is just a short distance
to Queens Wood, which forms part of Dymock Woods in its entirety of over 1200 acres of walking, with the wonderful
Daffodil Walk in early March.

If alcohol tasting is your thing, then Much Marcle is
your next stop for Westons Cider.
|
Dymock hosts the famous Three Choirs Vineyard
where you can enjoy a spot of wine tasting, and for that special occasion, go back later
for a sumptuous meal in the restaurant.

Alternatively, you may just want to
stroll around the historical Hellens Manor where the Magna Carta was
witnessed. The Manor is said to be haunted and dates back to 1096.

Just 15 minutes drive is the market town of Newent, which is
home to galleries, The Shambles, cobbled streets and of course the Newent Onion Fayre!

In keeping with the 'black and white' market towns, not far from
Woodcocks is Ledbury which a wonderful victorian town to wander around. Glorious Eastnor Castle is three miles away. |

For the more energetic visitor, a trip to Malvern
and the glorious hills will most definitely blow the cobwebs away. |
The Beatrix Potter shop is fantstic for children and whilst they are having
stories read to them, the adults can explore the magnificent Gloucester Cathedral, which was the setting for Joanna Trollope's The Choir BBC adaptation.

If shopping is for you then the cathedral city of
Gloucester is ideal, and is also home to Beatrix Potter's The Tailor of Gloucester.
Then, just 12 miles north, is Cheltenham, for the more unique shops and
boutiques, along with the high street shops. Whilst in Cheltenham, you might want to visit the racecourse. If you are looking to put

walking distance from the Cathedral for Gloucester Rugby Club, where players such as Andy Gommersal were in the 2004 world cup. |
